Oxford Brookes Racing – the team to beat in the UK

Having the backing of Bosch, the biggest automotive supplier in the world, Oxford Brookes Racing have every reason to be confident this year.

Oxford Brookes Racing has been around since 1999, and has since gone on to be known as one of the best UK Formula Student teams, claiming the "top UK team" title 5 times.

In 2016 OBR had the fastest ever UK car, having set the fastest lap of all the UK teams in Autocross and Endurance at Formula Student UK. However, the celebrations were cut short when 3 laps from the end of Endurance the engine let go, causing a spectacular fire.

For 2017, OBR is aiming to capitalise on the raw speed of the 2016 car, and find the sweet spot in terms of reliability, with the main focus being on cooling and overall driveability of the package. We believe that this will take us back on top for our 19th year, and be the first UK team to win Formula Student UK overall.

The one element to what makes OBR unique is the ability for any student from any year, course or background to join. The only requirements are a passion for Motorsport, and the ability to keep pushing right until the last second, never stopping until the job is done.
