Chris Atkins joined the Institution in 2018 as part of the Business Development Team delivering numerous presentations and workshops to highlight professional registration along with the benefits of membership with the IMechE before joining the EPA team in 2022. As End Point Assessment Partnership Manager Chris engages with apprentices, colleges, training providers and employers across the country in order to ensure that the key messages of the EPA process are delivered while supporting them through End Point Assessment.
Since graduating from UWE (University of Western England) Bristol, Chris has worked predominantly in the energy and utility sector as a project/account manager to promote the importance of STEM subjects to learners and career influencers through to those in the armed forces. Chris has extensive experience of delivering careers information, advice and guidance as well as membership development. He thrives on developing relationships with people and working with them to achieve their career goals. Chris is keen to change the perception some people may still have of the industry and help to support as many engineers as possible.
Chris is committed to developing and strengthening relationships with providers and individuals in order to advise and help them where he can.
He is looking forward to working with people and to help them through the process of End Point Assessment and helping them maximise their relationship with the Institution.
Outside work Chris spends a lot of time on a tennis court and enjoys cooking and music.
