SN-return

At Support Network we know that returning to work after a career break can be a challenge, be that after a relatively short or longer period of time away, and whether you have a job to return to or not.

That’s why we work with specialist partners to help with this particular type of transition back into work.

  • Employment coaching is provided through Renovo, who can help you to refresh your CV, build an online profile, understand the digital recruitment market, and identify areas for you to develop and promote. Once on the programme their coaches are available to provide 24/7 support, in addition to structured appointments. The service is online and telephone based so all their support comes directly to you at home.
  • Through the Women’s Engineering Society we provide access to their MentorSET programme which is a successful mentoring scheme to help women working in STEM through matching you with independent mentors who understand the challenges faced on returning to and progressing through work and who can provide support and advice.
  • If everything still feels rather daunting, or you simple want to talk to someone first, our in house counsellor is available by phone or for face-to face sessions in London. Counselling can also be provided elsewhere by practitioners local to where you live. Please contact us for more details about this.
  • Similarly if your finances have been stretched by coping with your time away from work, we might be able to help with this too. Please contact us to receive a grant application form and/or to talk to us further about your needs and circumstances.

For International Women in Engineering Day, Renovo has highlighted some key issues that women face when in employment or job searching, with some action steps on how to address them. Click here to read more.
