In order to establish an atmosphere of professional warmth, trust and comfort with each other, it is important that the candidate understands what will be happening and has had an early opportunity to speak. The following brief points are important:
- Greet the candidate in a professional yet warm and welcoming manner
- Ensure proper introductions
- Set out clear timings for the interview
- Explain the approach that will be followed – expectation of a professional conversation between peers
Much of this will be covered or led by the Interview Facilitator before the candidate enters in order to save time.
