We live in a fast-moving world that is characterised by change, increasing demands and complexity. To successfully sustain performance criteria and thrive amongst these challenges, we need to become more resilient in our thinking, our leadership and in our approach to problem solving. Resilience is your competitive edge, your ability to bounce back in the face of adversity.

When we are under pressure, resilience is the key capability that helps us control our thoughts and emotions and sustain good health. Self-awareness is a key factor in resilient performance. Through practical discussion and instructor-led content, you will gain a better understanding of your daily energy curves and stressors, and how to manage them. You’ll learn how to increase performance and productivity in the face of organisational, team and project change, tight deadlines and additional responsibilities.

A new study from leading job board CV Library surveyed over 300 top UK businesses and concluded that the key skills that employers require include adaptability (71.5%), resilience (57.5%) and being able to balance your work and personal life (29.2%).

Furthermore, according to a 2018 survey commissioned by the Mental Health Foundation, ‘74% of UK adults have felt so stressed at some point over the last year they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope’ and a recent Acas YouGov poll of 2,000 adults found that ‘two-thirds of employees have felt stressed and/or anxious about work in the last 12 months’.
