Managing people, projects, or teams requires more than a high degree of technical knowledge; like any skill, becoming an effective manager and leader takes effort and attention.

In order to support aspiring engineering managers, The IMechE's Essential Management Skills conference comprises of three days of workshops, networking and site visits to equip you with the knowledge to make the step up.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to gain a Level 3 Award in Principles of Management and Leadership, awarded and accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Essential Management Skills overview:

  • Presents management competencies as learnable skills, in a structured and interactive manner, putting these on the same footing as technical skills
