A M Strickland Prize

Awarded for the best paper on a manufacturing industries mechanical engineering subject published by the Institution in the previous year or for a contribution or achievement in that field.

Eligibility

  • Open to members and non-members, worldwide.

Value of award

  • Certificate

Award conditions

  • Judging of nominations and selection of the successful candidate will be carried out by a judging committee drawn from the members of the Manufacturing Industries Division
  • The recommendation of the judging committee will be subject to ratification by the Board.

Applications process

Closing date: Date of next award to be confirmed.

Awarded every second year along with the Whittle Reactionaries Prize.

  • Nominations for the prize must be made by a third party; self-nominations will not be accepted. 
  • The individual or group being nominated must not be informed that they are being considered until a decision has been made and ratified by the Institution.
