FARAH BAKSH

Global Relationship Manager
(Midland Region (UK) and Key Global Accounts)

How long have you been working for the IMechE, what are your main responsibilities?

I joined the Institution in 2012. I work with engineers in industry and academia, supporting them to become professionally registered at the route most appropriate to them. I also offer advice and guidance on all the IMechE benefits which will help support engineers throughout their career and their development

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Supporting engineers to reach their potential and advising on how the IMechE can support them in that journey. Empowering our engineering community to exchange ideas and innovations, improving the world through engineering.

Is there a career highlight you would like to share?

There is no one highlight. I feel very proud to work at the IMechE. I have the opportunity to interact with engineers globally and really showcase the IMechE as a global institution and a home for all engineers. It is that continuum of attracting new members but equally as important supporting our volunteer network to ensure our engineering community is engaged with the IMechE. Their input is invaluable to us as an Institution as we look to the future.
