I have been working for the IMechE for 18 months. My main responsibilities are to develop key accounts with employers as well as academia including Further Education Colleges, whilst contributing to the sustainability and retention of the Institution’s membership at every level. I provide strategic support and guidance to local regional volunteer groups and members.
I find guiding and advising young engineers and apprentices towards professional registration very rewarding. Visiting companies and further education institutions discussing all things IMechE and learning about the different and varied areas of engineering with different people is very enjoyable and rewarding.
I am from an engineering background so gaining my membership of the IMechE and professional registration was a highlight. I have also been involved in developing engineering T Levels from inception to delivery which is also a highlight.
