Jake Fraser joined the Institution in August 2021 as Chief Technology Officer, responsible for the technology and digital systems across IMechE and the digital modernisation programme. In July 2023, he joined the Executive team, and in his new role, he leads all things digital as part of the Institution’s strategy and vision for 2030. This includes mobilising change capabilities, leading process, service, and data improvement initiatives, and driving the considered adoption of new technologies to enable high-quality, data-driven, and inclusive experiences for IMechE’s customers. Jake is also an executive sponsor for staff engagement groups which seek to maintain IMechE as a great place to work and thrive.
Jake is a professional member of the British Computing Society, a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, a Fellow of the RSA, and completed an MBA at Cranfield School of Management in 2022. He has experience working in global marketing organisations and several digital transformation and organisational change programmes, including acquisitions, real estate, data privacy, and business continuity. His values and pragmatism drive him to ensure technology is useful and valuable, humanising the adoption of new technology. Jake is also proudly part of several LGBTQ+ professional networks and has been named a Top 100 IT Leader for 2022 and 2023 by Computing Magazine.
