How long have you been working for the IMechE, what are your main responsibilities?

17 years. Supporting the Armed Forces and I am responsible for this sector at the IMechE which represents a third of our new membership.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Helping engineers in the Armed Forces to recognise their achievements. My Dad was an engineer in the defence sector, and I am very proud to be part of this community.

Is there a career highlight you would like to share?

Attending the Armed Forces award ceremonies. I get to put on my glad rags and take the opportunity to speak with engineers who have won the IMechE awards. It’s a real privilege.
