Lydia’s role within the Institution is to provide expertise and guidance of the full education and technical pathway of an engineer. From developing policy positions on primary, secondary, and technical qualifications to providing insight for graduate schemes and professional registration, Lydia ensures there is coherent messaging from policy through to membership activities. Lydia also offers strategic insights into the future skills demands of industry, actively collaborating with key stakeholders to guarantee the profession's long-term sustainability. Prior to joining the IMechE, Lydia spent many years working in automotive Engineering on Commercial Vehicle Fuel Systems Design and Manufacturing.
