In this briefing, there is some great coverage on the BBC website and local press for Institution Bloodhound SSC events. There is continued coverage of the Institution’s food waste report, trade coverage of comments issued by the Institution on the subject of shale gas as well as on the launch of the new measurement guide for mechanical engineering students.

There was some excellent coverage in the BBC with an article about the Bloodhound SSC show-car being on display in Inverness next week at an Institution event. There was also interview on BBC Radio Highland and articles in the Aberdeen Press and Journal (link not available) and Manchester Wired. There was also some very positive coverage of the Institution’s Bloodhound SSC event at the Welland Park Academy in the Lutterworth Mail and Harborough Mail.

Article about the Energy and Climate Change Committee’s report into shale gas, which cites the Institution’s response that shale gas is not a silver bullet. The Institution’s comments were also picked up in Power Engineering International.

 

Article on the launch of a new guide to measurement for mechanical engineering students which was launched by the Institution and National Physical Laboratory.

 

Article which includes a short biography of Institution Fellow Michael Hudson who stood at the local elections.
