This week the Institution’s Dr Jenifer Baxter was interviewed by ITV News at 10, BBC 2’s Victoria Derbyshire programme, BBC 5 Live and BBC Radio London following an announcement by EdF to invest in the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station. She also gave interviews, earlier in the week, to BBC Radio Wales and BBC TV on the future of nuclear power in Wales. Elsewhere, the Institution’s Dr Helen Meese had comments on the role of technology in sport picked up by the BBC online. There was also further media coverage for the Institution’s Formula Student event.

  An interview with Dr Jenifer Baxter on the announcement by EDF about Hinkley Point C. She also did interviews with BBC 2’s Victoria Derbyshire programme, BBC 5 Live (link not available) BBC Radio London and Share Radio. Her comments on the Hinkley announcement were picked up in Business Green, Insider Media, Energy & Environment Management, Natural Gas Europe and Blue & Green Tomorrow. Separately, stories in the Daily Mail and University of Bristol News about the Hinkley Point C announcement made reference to the Institution’s influential Engineering the UK Electricity Gap policy statement.
