This week the Institution provided expert comment on a range of issues – with Fellow Dr Tony Cox on Sky News, the Daily Telegraph and BBC World Service talking about the explosions in Tianjin, China and the Institution’s Head of Energy and Environment Dr Jenifer Baxter commenting on growing world population for the BBC. Dr Baxter also featured in the Daily Mail with comments on food waste and featured in trade publications like The Engineer with comments on new Government rules on fracking applications.
Institution Fellow and accident investigator Dr Tony Cox was interviewed about the explosions. He was also interviewed for the BBC World Service and his comments picked up in The Daily Telegraph.
The Institution’s Dr Jenifer Baxter was interviewed for a piece about the engineering challenges and opportunities for a growing world and UK population.
Article featuring comments from Dr Jenifer Baxter about a new report which found the UK was the worst in Europe at wasting food. The Week and AsianLite also covered the story and referred to the Institution’s influential report on the subject. While in a separate story in The Smithsonian also referred to the 2013 report
Comments from Dr Jenifer Baxter were used in an article on new Government rules on new fracking developments. Her comments were also picked up in E&P and Energy Global.
