Buy British Standards at a 15% discount

Institution members can benefit from a new partnership with the British Standards Institution.

The British Standards Institution (BSI) is the world renowned UK national standards producer, whose role is to develop standards that promote and share best practice. Institution members now have access to a newly launched website that allows them to search across the full BSI catalogue of over 30,000 current standards and order hard copy standards at an exclusive 15% member discount. 

The site contains details of all the current British Standards. Users of the service can search by keyword to find a list of standards on the topic they need, or search by number if they know what they are looking for. Users can then order their standard online, and the hard copy will be supplied to them by BSI within five days (to UK addresses).

Alastair Barr, the Institution's Head of Commercial Development, said: “We know that British Standards are important to members. Standards are an important tool for many engineers, firms and consultants.

"This new arrangement with BSI means members can obtain their own printed copies of British Standards at a discount and have them available for whenever they need them.”

Institution members wanting to make use of this exclusive member benefit, can log in and browse the catalogue.
