Call for nominations for Young Member of the Year awards 2021

The Young Members Board are now accepting applications for the Institution’s Young Member of the Year awards 2021 until 30 September.

Do you know a Young Member who volunteers in their spare time for the Institution or who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the engineering profession? This year the Young Members Board (YMB) will be awarding three individual awards for outstanding contribution in the following categories:

• Young Member Visionary (formally Young Member of the Year)
• IMechE Volunteer of the Year
• Developing Engineer of the Year

What do we mean by ‘Young Member?’

• A Young Member is any Affiliate, Associate or Member who has achieved professional registration within the last ten years. 

Who can apply?

• All entrants must be Young Members of the Institution.
• Any Young Member can be nominated or may self-nominate for one or several of the awards.

Everyone who applies in any category will automatically be considered for the Young Member Visionary Award.
