The Young Members Board are now accepting applications for the Institution’s Young Member of the Year awards 2023 from 9 June 2023 until 6 October 2023.

Do you know a Young Member who volunteers in their spare time for the Institution or who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the engineering profession? This year the Young Members Board (YMB)  will be awarding three individual awards for outstanding contribution in the following categories:

What do we mean by ‘Young Member?’

  • A Young Member is any Affiliate, Associate or Member who has achieved professional registration within the last ten years.

Who can apply?

  • All entrants must be Young Members of the Institution.
  • Any Young Member can be nominated or may self-nominate for one or several of the awards.

Why should you apply or nominate a Young Member for an award?

King Lucas Darko

Volunteer of the Year award winner 2023

“Working with a team to build a very strong young member committee in Ghana hasn't been an easy task but the entire YM committee appreciates this acknowledgment, and we will continue to improve our community and the world through engineering.” - King Lucas Darko

How to apply

Nominations and self-nominations are now being accepted via an online application. Further details, guidance notes and links can be found at on the Young Member of the Year Awards web page.
