If 10% of Londoners moved to Birmingham HS2 and Heathrow expansion wouldn't be necessary
In the June edition we have John Morris's commentary advocating Birmingham having a bigger airport.
This would remove the need for a third runway at Heathrow, where there is no room anyway. (I used to live nearby)
Your article "Euston we have a problem" explains the work required to integrate the HS2 project but if 10% of Londoners moved to Birmingham, none of this would be necessary.
Decentralising away from big cities is the key.
