Design Concept Specification & Registration guidance

The deadline for the Design Concept specification is 8th December, this is needed in order to be considered for the Formula Student 2023 Competition for all entry types.

In order to submit this via the portal at Teams.formulastudent.com, you need to have created a Team account and ensure details for Faculty Advisor and Team leader are set up on the portal.

The account details for this include a username starting with “F” and a password sent by email, if you have any issues with this, please email fs@imeche.org.

All team members from the UK (apart from Faculty Advisors) must also be registered as Student Affiliate members of the IMechE, but this does not need to be done until after you have been selected for the Formula Student 2023 Competition which will be in January 2023 (you will receive an email confirming this).

The membership number starts with an “8”.

International students with a ‘home FS competition’ may be a member of the engineering organisation that organises their home event (e.g. we will accept German students who are VDI members). If you do not have one of these home events in your country: SAE International, SAE Australasia, SAE Brazil, VDI, VDE, or ATA, your team must become IMechE members as above.

Again this does not need to confirmed until January 2023.
