Press Office
We are excited to confirm that Dr Alice Bunn will be starting her new role as our Chief Executive on 5 July.
Colin Brown will be staying on for a week or two supporting the Executive Team to help with the transition before leaving at the end of July.
Alice is currently International Director at the UK Space Agency, responsible for increasing the UK’s global influence in science, security, and trade through space. She came through a field of over 300 applicants to be chosen as IMechE’s next Chief Executive.
Colin Brown said:
“I am sure you will join me in making Alice feel welcome at IMechE and I know Alice is looking forward to meeting you all. Alice is absolutely the right person to be leading this Institution in the next stage of our journey and I wish her every success.”
Alice Bunn said:
“I am delighted to be joining IMechE and look forward to meeting as many members and employees as soon as I can. The Institution is a beacon of engineering and it is an honour to be a part of the Executive and senior leadership teams, especially in these challenging times when engineers are playing such an important role in society.”
Once Alice has settled into the role, we will arrange a webinar so members will have a chance to meet her, share views, and ask questions.
