What’s in Store at 2014?

Excitement’s building around Maintec 2014, which returns to the NEC, Birmingham on 11-13 March. The leading UK event for maintenance engineers is in its 39th year and has a packed hall full of industry leading exhibitors, educational programmes and the latest innovations. 

Inventive Exhibitors

Exhibitors at Maintec 2014 will include all the major names and show regulars such as Keytracker, Fluke UK, Hansford Sensors and FLIR Systems. These will be joined by a plethora of new exhibitors including as Matthews Engineering Training and IRISS.

Maintec will be the global debut for IRISS’ new range of permanent electrical safety device products, whilst FLIR Systems will be introducing their new FLIR Ex and Exx Series thermal imaging cameras.

Newson Gale will focus on its Earth-Rite® Static Earth Monitoring & Interlock Systems, while first time exhibitors Matthews Engineering Training will be showcasing their Boiler Inspector Certificate Programme.

Idhammar Systems are exhibiting their latest mobile Maintenance Management System: ‘Pocket MMS’ which simplifies maintenance engineers roles. The system is compatible with iPad and android tablets, allocating work to individual engineers via their device wherever they are working. 

Learning

There are of learning opportunities at Maintec, including the Business Strategy Forum which made such an impressive debut at the last show. This is once again being hosted by Dr. Andrew Starr from Cranfield University, and will include sessions with expert speakers from industry leaders including Paul Gibbons from Gatwick Airport, Tahir Ayub from Network Rail and Ian Daniels from Sellafield.

There will also be The Exchange, featuring 20, free content-rich talks full of advice, new innovations and case studies for maintenance professionals, engineers, plant and asset managers to learn from. 

Co-location Success

Thanks to some clever co-locations, visitors to Maintec can also attend two other highly complementary events, free of charge. The first of these is Facilities Management, the only event for facilities managers run outside London. It includes a pavilion run by the British Pest Control Association plus an in depth conference programme.

Maintec 2014 is also co-located with the brand new Health & Safety event which is officially endorsed by the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM). Its comprehensive conference programme, which is free of charge, is put together by the British Safety Council.
