The electric car debate is high in emotion but low in facts
The electric car debate is high in emotion but low in facts. Would a manufacturer state the distance travelled, for a gallon of oil burnt at the power station.
I drive a 1.3 turbodiesel, which exceeds 65 miles per gallon, and I suspect that an electric car does not approach this. Otherwise the industry and politicians would be shouting it from the rooftops.
I realise this would be a crude comparison, and that other issues, such as a point of emission and non-fossil electricity generation must be considered, but may we have some facts please!
