This prestigious award, named after former apprentice and President of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Bryan Hildrew, recognises apprentices who go above and beyond their normal duties. The award seeks individuals who have made a difference through additional responsibilities, including charitable and voluntary work, as well as inspiring other young people to consider engineering as a career.
To be eligible for the award, you must be currently enrolled as an apprentice on an advanced/modern engineering apprenticeship and hold an Apprentice Affiliate Membership with any professional body.
The winning apprentice will receive a £1,000 prize, and highly commended entrants will receive a certificate. In addition, the winners and highly commended individuals will be featured in promotional activities such as case studies, photos, and web stories.
