The Engineering Design Show's conference and workshop programmes have now been confirmed, with some of the UK's leading names in design and engineering set to take part.

Running alongside the Show at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 22-23 October 2014, the Conference and Workshop sessions will offer delegates the opportunity to hear about the latest technologies, techniques and strategies employed by experts at the forefront of their fields.

Those signed up to address the Eureka Conference comprise representatives from some of the UK's most illustrious brand names, including Infiniti Red Bull Racing, Rolls-Royce, Morgan Advanced Materials, Gurit and Cambridge Consultants.

Speakers confirmed include:

Al Peasland, Head of Technical Partnerships for Infiniti Red Bull Racing, who will give a 'behind the scenes' insight into the fast-paced and exciting world of Formula One

Rolls-Royce's Chief of Engineering Transmissions, Mick Carlisle, who will be discussing the importance of designing in quality right from the beginning of the design process.

Dr Joseph Darlington, Technology Manager of the Manufacturing Technology Centre, who will be giving a keynote on how virtual reality can help manufacturers gain competitive advantage.

Bob Bell, Technical Director, Mercedes AMG Petronas, who will be offering an overview of the design disciplines that are utilised to produce a modern F1 car and its supporting infrastructure.

Running parallel to the conference programme, the Engineering Design Show workshop programme will offer more immediately practical, hands-on advice on a range of technical and technological subjects.

Two workshop theatres will cover 20 sessions across the two days, with highly relevant and practical content delivered by representatives from the likes of Schaeffler, Materialise, Barden Corporation, DuPont, EMS Chemie and Nylacast.

Conference and Workshop places are limited and offered on a strictly first come, first served basis so it’s advisable to sign up and reserve yours now at www.engineeringdesignshow.co.uk

The PPA award-winning Engineering Design Show was created to champion British engineering design and is entirely targeted at design engineers. Last year over 3,000 design engineers attended the event over the two days and this year closer to 4,000 are expected to visit the conference and exhibition, for which we already have over 200 engineering supplier companies signed up.

The Engineering Design Show will once again incorporate Engineering Materials Live to cater specifically for the engineering materials sector and will be co-located with the Electronics Design Show. Also running alongside these shows this year will be a new event, the Embedded Design Show which will focus on this growing sector of electronic engineering. Ultimately, the co-location with the Electronics Design Show, the incorporation of Engineering Materials Live and launch of the new Embedded Design Show is aimed at continuing the Engineering Design Show's most fundamental aim – to offer design engineers a comprehensive event focusing on their needs and their needs alone.
