Attend this lecture to hear about the development of one of the new 4-cylinder engines powering the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM), direct from the Head of Engine Development at Audi Sport.
This season, DTM engines have moved from NA V8s to boosted, direct injection 4-cylinder engines in order to improve performance and fuel efficiency. Audi has unveiled the new engine which will power its RS 5 DTM cars in 2019 in line with new regulations for this season. The target of the new rules is to limit the costly development areas of these engines as much as possible, while maintaining state-of–the–art engines that could be used for many years.
Join us at the Institution's London HQ to hear key insights and commentary from one of the manufacturers involved in this sports series. Understand how the rules for DTM have influenced the design and resulting performance of different engines involved, together with a possible roadmap for engine development to ensure sustainability and responsibility for the environment.
