Following on from the success of last year, GKN will be offering a limited number of free Driveshaft components to Formula Student Teams around the world.

Global engineering group GKN is an official partner of Formula Student for the third consecutive year. The motorsport competition, held at Silverstone Circuit in 2017, is aimed at supporting the next generation of young engineers as they compete to design, build and race Formula One-style racing cars.

Sarah Humpidge, GKN Group Graduate Development Manager, says:

"We’re delighted to be able to offer our market-leading technology and expertise to teams competing in this exciting competition. We’re very proud to be part of Formula Student again and are committed to helping to drive interest in engineering careers from young people."

The driveshafts are completely free of charge and can be used as supplied or modified to suit the team’s particular objectives, vehicle architecture or package constraints. The teams have a number of options to customise their base kit and are provided with instructions on how to modify the shaft so that it meets with Formula Student requirements.

Visit www.gknformulastudent.com from the 1 December 2016 to find out more and order your team’s kit.
