IMechE members honoured in New Year Honours 2025

We would like to congratulate IMechE members whose contributions to engineering have been recognised in the King's New Year Honours List.

President Clive Hickman OBE said:

Our members receiving honours include:

Past President Carolyn Griffiths who has been made an OBE for services to the rail industry, to transport safety and to the engineering profession.

John Smith, Chief Executive Officer of GB Railfreight, has been made an OBE for services to the rail freight industry.

Maira Bana, Co-founder, SheCanEngineer, received a British Empire Medal for services to diversity in engineering.
