16-17 March 2022 will see engineers reconvene in Manchester for the latest popular user group.

With one month to go, be sure to register your place soon to join this User Group; simply visit the User Group website for full details.

Taking place annually and a key fixture in the Institution’s calendar of Power Industry events, this popular User Group continues to build an international community for sharing knowledge and addressing common challenges across the industry.

Across two days, the foremost asset operators, designers, and service providers share their expertise, case study insights and best practice to an audience of over 200 engineers each year. Presentations are peer-reviewed by an experienced committee of engineers active in the power industry, who curate presentations to ensure their technical relevance and importance to attendees.

Organisations contributing to the agenda this year include Siemens Energy, EDF Energy, GE, Ansaldo, Drax, Doosan Skoda, Uniper, MD&A, Petronas and RWE, with many more to present across a two-day programme.

Importantly for 2022 is the return of the event to an-person format for the first time since 2019. Taking place in a glittering new venue at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, the engineering community will once more be able to participate in informal and serendipitous discussions and find potential solutions to common issues.

Dedicated networking breaks and an evening dinner at the end of the first day will also provide opportunities to continue conversations and make valuable new connections.

Throughout the User Group, a busy exhibition area will also provide attendees with a showcase of the latest technologies, upgrades, and services available with which to enhance their assets.

Whether you are involved in the operation, design, maintenance, service or upgrading of these assets, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers warmly invites you to be a part of this year’s User Group and further your technical knowledge and understanding; we look forward to welcoming you to the User Group in Manchester next month.
