With a strong focus on industrial strategy, sustainable infrastructure, and technical skills, the IMechE report delves deeper into four key policy priority areas central to mechanical engineering:
Each section provides actionable advice, ranging from quick wins and long-term strategies, to guide policymakers in fostering a resilient and prosperous future for the UK.
Dr. Clive Hickman OBE, President of IMechE, emphasised the critical role engineering plays in shaping the nation's future: “Our nation's strength lies in our ability to innovate, adapt, and lead through engineering excellence.”
IMechE stands ready to work with the government in delivering policy success, underpinned by the technical expertise that the engineering community offers.
