Apprentice Automation Challenge Team

Catch up with BAE Systems' team of eight looking for success at this year's Apprentice Automation Challenge team.

Alex McBain, Manufacturing Engineering: "I am hugely interested in motor racing, and particularly enjoy fixing cars."

Robert Richards, Manufacturing Engineering: "I’m a keen mountain biker from North Wales. I’ve recently moved to the lake district with my partner and I enjoy exploring the area with her."

Cameron Ridding, Manufacturing Engineering: "I love my sports in particular boxing and I also enjoy cooking."

Will Ewens, Engineering: "I enjoy regularly going to the gym and travelling as much as possible."

Ryan Wilson, Manufacturing Engineering: "I am a keen rugby player and I enjoy walking and spending time with my family."

Matthew Hunt, Manufacturing Engineering: "I enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities such as running and cycling, the lake district is one of my favourite places to go."

Philip Wilson, Test and Commissioning: "My hobbies include triathlon, fell running, mountaineering, and mountain biking. I enjoy taking adventure holidays with my travel group."

Nathan Curran, Engineering: "I follow Burnley FC in my spare time but recently I've started a collection of uniquely shaped pasta. My pantry looks more like an art gallery than a food storage area."
