MoRe Modena Racing was founded in 2003 in the heart of the Italian Motor Valley, home of Ferrari, Maserati, Pagani and many more. We are based in the Engineering Department “Enzo Ferrari” of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Today the team includes more than 60 students, that draw inspiration from their surroundings every day and turn it into motivation. Every year we run a recruitment event so that students can learn about our work and passion and join the team.
As Team Leader and Project Leader of the MMR team, our role is to drive the group through daily challenges in order to fulfil our biggest ambition: to represent all around the world the legacy of the major car designers and producers that lived in this city before us. For this reason, we decided to enter the Formula Student competition: we want to present an excellent car that best represents our University and exceptional heritage.

Our journey so far is an exciting trip full of unexpected events: something breaks, supplies are delayed… and the Formula Student event comes closer. What we do at this point? We panic. Just for a few seconds. Then we smile, we help each other, we ask for advice, we start over, together. Learning to truly be a team and work together is the secret behind our car: M16-L.
The principal objectives that inspired our design were achieving lightness, maximum efficiency and high performance, while maintaining low costs, but above all we aimed to exceed our fears. Today we are proud to present a car with a unique design, which includes a mould free carbon panel monocoque and a high performance longitudinal engine (95 bhp) with bevel gear transmission, combined with in-house produced aeropack, bodyshell and electronic elements. We believe we have achieved our goals and we can’t wait to see our car in action.

We are really looking forward to the competition; we are all students, we are young and we are constantly looking for new ideas. We believe that exchanging ideas and expertise with other teams is the only way to grow and improve ourselves, and there is only one event that will allow us to pursue our goal: Formula Student UK, the biggest event in Europe, held in a unique and exciting setting. Once we arrive, we look forward to getting to know our colleagues, putting ourselves and our car to the test, expanding our knowledge, pushing ourselves beyond our limits and.. why not, to win Formula Student 2016!
See you there!
