Despite the problems and challenges renewable technologies are way forward

I am becoming more alarmed by the apparent lack of consideration and real professional concern over the dangers posed by the nuclear industry.

Although commercial concerns may suggest further moves in this direction are warranted, short term gains must not endanger the health and well-being of future generations.

Despite the problems and challenges of low impact, renewable technologies, this is clearly the way forward whilst at the same time improving and more wisely utilising our existing resources.

Will those who advocate the burying of highly toxic materials in the ground or in some way leaving the problem to future generations please give me their assurance that they will live on top of that disposal site for the next 100,000 years?

Perhaps the UK can provide a techno-eco lead to guide the rest of the world with a more considered approach.
