A new consortium hopes to tackle major environmental issues facing the planet and humanity with four satellite projects.

FP Space, a collection of Polish companies Future Processing, FP Instruments and KP Labs, said it “aspires to advance space exploration through providing ground-breaking software and hardware.”

The consortium is developing technologies for four programmes, co-funded by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the National Centre for Research and Development in Poland. The satellite projects – Intuition-1, PW-Sat2, Sispare and Ammer – will monitor phenomena such as crop diseases, pollution emissions and water quality issues with techniques including spectral analysis and neural networks.

“Space exploration is essential and can only continue through the advancement of AI, machine learning and big data processing within satellite technology,” said Future Processing CEO Jarosław Czaja. “We at Future Processing are proud to be working with such great organisations who share this vision.”
