Find out which candidates were successful in their bid to become Region Chair and Region Young Member Representative in the Institution’s Oceania and North East Asia Region elections 2015.
Elections for the positions of Chair and Young Member representative for the Institution’s North East Asia Region and Oceania took place this year.
The voting period for the elections officially closed on the 1 May 2015 and we are pleased to announce the new office bearers for these regions:
Region Chair: Szeto, Louis Ka Sing (elected unopposed)
Region YM Rep: Jimmy Chan (elected unopposed)
Region Chair: Ian David Mash
Region YM Rep: Amy Lezala (elected unopposed)
Formal announcement of the new office bearers’ election to their roles was made at the Institution's Annual General Meeting on 27 May 2015 at 6pm.
The Institution would like to thank the outgoing NEAR representatives WK Chow and Wing-Hay Tsang for all their hard work over the last three years as Region Chair and Region Young Member Representative, respectively in developing the Institution’s activities in the NEAR Region. The Institution would also like to give many thanks to the outgoing Oceania Region Chair, Ken Tushingham and the Region Young Member Representative, Belinda Herden, for all of the hard work they have carried out to support and develop the membership in the Oceania Region in their respective roles during their tenures in-post. We are also pleased to announce that the outgoing Region Chairs WK Chow and Ken Tushingham were awarded meritorious service awards this year by the outgoing President, Mark Hunt.
Further details on the recently elected office bearers for the Oceania Region will shortly be published on the Oceania Near You Site and announcement for the new office bearers for the North East Asia Region will also appear on the North East Asia Near You website shortly.
