27 January 2022 marks 175 years since the foundation of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. This important anniversary represents an excellent opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our Institution and the huge contribution of mechanical engineering to society, whilst also inspiring a future generation of engineers. Our celebratory events and activity will focus on how engineers can continue to carry out our mission to ‘improve the world through engineering’, particularly in the areas of climate change, transport, education, and infectious disease control.
