Students on the UNAM Aero Design team are taking flight with Ansys

With help from an Ansys Student Team Partnership, Team UNAM utilized free Ansys tools to examine aircraft efficiency, aerodynamics, perform structural analysis, and prototype a mini aircraft.⁠

Participation in the competition enabled the team to take the aerodynamic fundamentals and theoretical equations they’ve learned in class and apply them in the real-world using simulation to design their unmanned aircraft.
