The UK’s talented and vast manufacturing industry will come together again to begin generating business for 2022 and beyond.
Bringing together thousands of attendees from OEMs, tier 1 manufacturers and supply chain partners, Advanced Engineering is the UK’s leading annual advanced engineering and manufacturing event, promoting supply chain business and technology transfer across any sector that involves high-value manufacturing, R&D and innovation.
Building on the recent success of the 2021 show, which attracted over 7,000 professionals from the manufacturing sector, Advanced Engineering 2022 is the place to present exciting products, services and systems to a collective audience of decision-makers from all industries. Over 75% of exhibitors said they would return for 2022, and 83% of exhibitors would recommend the event.
“We’ve had a brilliant show,” said Lisa Bingley, operations director at MIRA Technology Institute, at the 2021 event. “It’s been busy and it’s great to get back to a live event. We’ve had some really good-quality interest whilst we’ve been here, and we’ve already booked for next year!”
The show focuses on all aspects of engineering, from materials and production to design, test and measurement and inspection across a wide range of sectors including aerospace, automotive, composites, marine, medical and more. Advanced Engineering 2022 will see the return of the Enabling Innovation zone, a section of the show dedicated to start-ups displaying the newest and most innovative technologies.
This year will also see the introduction of the new Sustainability Trail, alongside the long-established Innovation Trail. These trails highlight exhibitors with the most sustainable and futuristic products respectively, enabling visitors to easily pick these out on the show floor and in the lead-up to the event.
The 2022 edition will see the return of the highly visited Space and Satellite zone, supported by the UK Satellite Application Catapult, ADS and UK Space Agency, with innovative feature exhibits and headline topics in the Aero and Space Forum. Advanced Engineering will again be co-located with its sister show, Lab Innovations, following a successful co-location in 2021. Visitors can move between the two shows during the two days without even leaving the hall, and exhibitors from both shows can benefit from the merging of two relevant audiences.
Advanced Engineering is set to bring together engineering professionals from all sectors and industries. The show offers a diverse range of exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their expertise and offers engineering professionals the opportunity to source new products and solutions, as well as hear from a wide range of speakers in the free-to-attend open forums.
With networking opportunities as a key focus of the event, the Connect matchmaking service is available to all exhibitors, allowing them to pre-arrange meetings with key visitors at the show. In 2021, 466 meetings were confirmed in advance of the event.
“To fully maximise the success of every exhibiting investment, Advanced Engineering works closely with its exhibitors to ensure that their ideal visitors attend the show,” explained Aleiya Lonsdale, head of marketing at Advanced Engineering. “Exhibitors will have access to Advanced Engineering’s bespoke online platform, with the opportunity to directly invite clients and prospects to attend with ease.”
Advanced Engineering runs a series of online events throughout the year giving exhibitors and visitors the chance to stay connected, learn from key industry leaders, and stay up to date with the newest developments.
