The IMechE’s Aerospace Division is forming a Young Members Committee

The IMechE’s Aerospace Division is forming a Young Members Committee and would like to invite Young Members to participate.

The aims of the committee will be:

• To engage with the Aerospace Division’s Young Members, to better understand how the IMechE can best provide for and support them
• To develop a network of our Young Members working in the Aerospace Industry
• To organise events, webinars or lectures that will help the development of the Aerospace Division Young Members
• To support the Aerospace Division’s UAS Challenge
• To support the Aerospace Division Board and the Aerospace Division’s Technical Activity Committees

  A Young Member is any Affiliate, Associate or member who has become professionally registered within the last ten years.

  We are seeking a mix of students, graduates and early career engineers to form the committee.

  In the case of early career engineers, and to ensure we represent the diversity of the Aerospace Division’s membership, we are seeking Young Engineers from the following disciplines:

• Aerodynamics
• Airworthiness
• Defense
• Environment & Sustainability
• EVTOL
• Materials & Manufacturing
• Modelling & Simulation
• MRO
• Propulsion (including Alternative Propulsion)
• Rotorcraft
• Space
• UAVs

The above list is not exhaustive. If you are interested in getting involved and the discipline that you have experience or knowledge in is not listed, feel to reach out highlighting your discipline within Aerospace.
