Marchantcain's TurfTech tackle the issue of maintaining artificial grass.
Low Maintenance isn’t no maintenance. More people are opting for low maintenance gardens but are forgetting that they need to be looked after. Artificial turf has become popular in low maintenance gardens but can collect debris overtime and after use, the grass fibres can appear flat and untextured. An automated device that could clean and maintain the turf would aid both the elderly and those with disabilities, as well as anyone who leads busy and time consuming lives. This would enable more people to relax and spend time in their garden rather than having to clean and maintain it first.
Maintenance and upkeep are important even in low maintenance gardens. The idea was to create a device that could do just that. By removing debris and then brushing the fibres, the artificial turf can be revitalised providing a clean and picturesque feature in the garden. With the added ability to distribute silica sand, even those who require infill on their artificial grass can benefit from the device.
