Over thirty exceptionally talented engineers have been awarded Whitworth Scholarships or recognised as Whitworth Scholars to celebrate their skill and dedication to engineering in the UK.

Sir Joseph Whitworth was a true visionary, realising the importance of combining both scholarship and practice, when he founded the Whitworth Scholarships in 1868. One hundred and fifty two years later, his scheme continues to grow and support talented engineers.
