Summary

We live in an increasingly complex world, where change is fast paced and affects both our personal and business lives. In a business context, we lead or are part of multiple, continuous, hugely time demanding change projects. Change is now “business as usual”.

Yet, data from the Gallup organisation suggests that 70 percent of all change initiatives fail. Why? Because they overlook the role front-line managers play in the success of the initiative.

Leadership is key. More than ever before, we as leaders – line managers, project managers, change agents - need to understand the nature of change and equip ourselves with tools for pro-actively managing it. Our success at work, our personal well-being and that of our colleagues depends upon it.

This workshop will help with that. How? By focussing on human reactions to change, examining helpful change behaviours and working through a process to help drive success in your transformation challenges.

Who should attend?

Line Managers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Change agents – in fact anyone whose role requires that they successfully implement change initiatives.

  • Examine the Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous environment in which we work and the challenges this places upon us
  • Understand why and how people can react to change, the stages they may go through and how this can be seen in their behaviour
  • Appreciate the positive difference leadership behaviours can make, which behaviours are the most helpful and when / how to use these flexibly
  • Understand the 8 steps to implementing successful change and consider how these can be applied to your own situations
