Summary

This course provides participants with some core skills for managing an individuals’ performance and development, whilst considering the wider needs of the of the team and ways to maximise team performance.

This course starts by looking at maximising performance from the perspective of individuals; exploring the role of formal performance management processes and tasks such as setting goals, supporting development and giving feedback.

After looking at how to support individuals in the process of learning, participants will be presented with key characteristics of effective teams, exploring tools that can be used to spot the signs of poor performance, diagnose the causes and optimise team output whether that team is co-located or remote.

Who should attend?

Any leader or manager responsible for the performance of others in the form of individuals and/or teams, as well as anyone who is soon to take up responsibility for the performance of others.
