Summary

This course is for all professionals requiring a fundamental understanding of engineering drawings, from design through to manufacture.

This course will cover topics that allow design, manufacture, and inspection engineers, as well other non-engineers, to read, understand and make informed decisions based about engineering drawings.

The course will explain the concepts behind BS 8888 and the ISO GPS system, and why it should be adopted as the standard to work to. To ensure that the specific requirements of a project are understood, a basic understanding of the framework standards are essential. This course will cover the symbology and information that engineers and designers need to be able to read and interpret on engineering drawings, be they manually produced (2D), or in 3D, created using CAD systems and 3D modelling (computer-aided design).

Who should attend?

Engineers and non-engineers wanting to be able to understand engineering drawings. All persons who interact or make decisions based on engineering drawing and engineering content.

How will I benefit?
