Who we are

The main SRG Board is supported by a four working groups:

• WG1: Reliability in Engineering
• WG2: Engineering for Safety
• WG3: Standards and Procedures
• WG4: Human Factors in Safety and Reliability.

What we do 

• Review and comment on standards and procedures relevant to safety and reliability and the Terms of Reference of the SRG on behalf of IMechE.
• Act as a focal point for the preparation of standards and procedures relevant to safety and reliability and the Terms of Reference of the SRG, as required by the Institution.
• Represent IMechE on BSI committees DS/1 and DS1/1. Review and comment on British, European and International standards covered by those BSI committees, as appropriate.
