Formula Student Teamt
Concept Class entrants are strongly encouraged to take this opportunity to both compete for this year’s standalone award and get a head start over other teams for the future.
“Following the success of last year’s Virtual Dynamic Events we are delighted to have partnered with IPG Automotive and include Lap Time Simulation as part of this year's event," explained Dan Jones, Formula Student Chief Judge. "Simulation is becoming an ever more important part of engineering design and development, the LTS event is another example of Formula Student providing real world examples for students to expand and develop their skills ahead of graduation and starting their careers.
This is supported by Formula Student Partners IPG Automotive, who supply the Formula CarMaker package for free for all teams.
“At IPG Automotive we want engineering graduates to complete their degrees with a real world grasp of simulation and a working knowledge of its application in industry, " said Elliot Hemes, Managing Director at IPG Automotive UK. "How better to do that than partnering with the world class Formula Student event, providing access to licences and support for CarMaker and all the benefits it already brings to OEMs and Tier 1s globally. We are thrilled to be engaging with so many teams using Formula CarMaker to develop and tune their cars.
Formula Student teams can get access to the CarMaker software package and Formula CarMaker resources from IPG Automotive for use in the upcoming competition: register your details on the IPG Automotive website.
